(Andrew) Krecker Jobe, Sr (1866-1906) and Annie Laura Schooler Jobe (1866-1942) wed in 1884. Before 1900, they moved to Jackson, and he opened his own jewelry store.

The jeweler became prominent enough that Jobe advertised his store on “Jobe’s Corner” in Jackson. Jobe was from Mississippi, and his father William was a silversmith and jeweler with at least one store in Columbus, MS. Krecker also had a jewelry store in Water Valley, MS. Evidently, he was a sought-after jeweler known for selling fine pocket-watches, and he was also an inspector for the railroad.

His grandson A. K. Jobe, Jr. lived with his family in Memphis.

The home was razed at some point, and the Tennessee Legends of Music Museum operates on the site.
