569 East Main St. Jackson, TN
Circa 1860. Historic 2 story Italianate style brick house
Rev. Benjamin Allison Hayes (1818-1904) and Nancy Tennessee “Tennie” Hayes (1828-1911) built the home. Rev. Hays organized the East Jackson Methodist Church in 1869.
The Hays daughter Sallie Hayes Arrington (1852-1916) and her husband Dr. John Allison Arrington (1841-1910) also lived at the home. They wed in 1873. Dr. Arrington was mayor of Jackson in 1874 and a renowned Jackson dentist. It is likely that their daughter Mary Grace Arrington Kinzie (1874-1971) and Alpha Peck Kinzie (1868-1924) were the next owners.
The home was demolished at some point; an empty lot stands there now.
