After her husband died, Pauline Coe Barton (1907-1986) likely “downsized” and constructed this home. She and Frank Gustavous “Frank” Barton (1902-1970) had lived at 2933 Robin Rd. and had wed in 1927. F.G. Barton owned F. G. Barton Cotton Co., was active in the Cotton Carnival, and was King of the Cotton Carnival in 1934.

Her son and daughter-in-law, Frank G. and Jane Johnson Barton, Jr. likely continued living at the original home.

Pauline and family members resided in the home. Her brother-in-law Wilson Perry Barton (1906-1995) and his bride Lola Howerton Sale Barton (1912-2004) continued to live with her. They wed in 1939.

Three years after Pamela passed away, the family sold the home to Boyle Developers. By 1995, John A. Hurley and Marilee Z. Hurley owned the home. NR 1995
