The Historic Rhodes House is likely the furthest east home in the West TN portion of History through Homes compilation.
Rhodes Hall was built by Soloman Amos Rhodes (1822-1893). He inherited 830 acres of land from his parents. Rhodes married Henrietta Bradshaw (?-1863) in 1846. Rhodes remarried to Margaret “Maggie” Cinderella Thomas Rhodes (1843-1883).
In 1980, the owner was Dr. William Keith Lara with 311 acres remaining. It was in poor shape.At some point, he moved to Montana.
By 2022, the property with 25 acres was purchased by new owners Shelli and Ronnie Sewell. They now offer Rhodes Hall as a VRBO property and manage an open-air market on-site. Shelli is a stylist with Salon of Arlington which is one of the vendors. Ronnie is retired from the Shelby Co. Sheriff's Dept. NR 1980
