George Harris “G. H.” Robertson (1871-1946) and Katherine "Kate" Fenner Campbell Robertson (1871-1963). They wed in 1894. Their son was Wm. P. Robertson of W.P. Robertson House. Her Campbell family owned Edgewood.

G. H. founded G. H. Robertson Clothing Co. in 1867 becoming one of West TN’s leading men’s clothing co. Harris was the son of a prominent family and merchant. Kate was the daughter of Gen. Alex. and Annie Campbell of Jackson. In 1911, Kate was first president of the TN branch of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers, now called the Parent-Teacher Association. G.H. left for California later; Kate remained in Jackson for a time. In 1916, she moved away and kept in touch with friends and family.

In recent times, local preservationist Lloyd W. Privett (1933-2021) and Patsy Jan Jones Privitt (1941-2003) owned the home. After Korean War service, Privett returned to Jackson and the Privitts founded General Brick Company in 1977. Two years later, in 1979, she owned and operated Merle Norman Cosmetics. He took pride in Jackson heritage and in purchasing and restoring older homes - he was an active leader in the Preservation of East Main Street (POEMS) since its creation in 1982. He served as chairman of the Jackson-Madison County Historic Zoning Commission for 14 years. Later, they took on the Polk Home.

In 1981, the Robertson descendants donated money to create the Kate Campbell Robertson Memorial Park opened. See Edgewood, W.P. Robertson House, Polk Home
